H.S., J.H. and Elem.Youth help with outdoor Stations of the Cross on Palm Sunday

Palm Sunday afternoon was sunny but cold and windy! There was a big turnout of parishioners for the live Stations of the Cross which began in the courtyard in front of the church, continued around the side of the parking lot and ended with the "tomb" at the Mary Garden.

Coleton Daniel (10th), Corbin Daniel (6th) and Paul Weiner (7th) were readers at some of the stations. A group of elementary, junior high and high school students portrayed soldiers who followed Jesus along his walk to Calvary. I saw some other youth among the main group of participants as well and it was nice to catch up! :)

Despite the cold weather, it was a wonderful way to pray as a community to usher in Holy Week. Let's hope this can be the start of a new tradition.
