Making our mark (on the ceiling)!

In the Zaga Room ceiling there are some painted ceiling tiles from previous youth group years (before my time)--2013, 2014, 2015 if I remember the dates right. A new one was way overdue! So at the Rooted fall kickoff meeting on September 18th we made one for 2022.

The puzzle pieces represent interconnectedness, which is going to kind of an unofficial theme for this year. It was great to see some of the "puzzle pieces" in the group meet each other for the first time, some who have been part of Rooted since the beginning in Jan. 2019 and others who were here for the first time. There were some people who had done the winter book club on Zoom but hadn't met the others in person, and some who came this summer to Breakfast With The Saints or the car wash but hadn't been to a regular youth group meeting.

Many of us are still just getting started learning about each other, but serving together helps build our interconnectedness! This October brings us two opportunities for feeding the hungry. Stay tuned for photos and recap of our cooking prep AND delivery of the Catholic Worker House meal coming up.
