October: Rooted in service

We had no fewer than FOUR service activities this October! Take a look...

On October 2nd a team of youth and adults made and froze eight batches of chili and two batches of pumpkin chocolate chip bars for the Catholic Worker House.

Then on October 9th a few of us delivered and helped serve the meal.

On October 30th we partnered with St Thomas More and St Mary's to pack over 1000 boxes of dried vegetables, soy protein and rice to be shipped overseas through the nonprofit organization Rise Against Hunger. Then later that day some of the youth group members served at the St Patrick's Trunk Or Treat to help make it a fun afternoon for the children of our parish and community.

What a busy month of service! We did also take time out in the middle of October to just hang out on S'mores Night. Stay tuned for more activities in Nov./Dec.--next is YANAGA on Nov. 20th!
